Biography
Getting into MBBS and train to become a doctor was never easy...dreaming to become a doctor I started my journey from Madras medical college in the year 1993..
Having scored well, I was confident to sail through MBBS easily....
But the story was very different...passing my first year exams were hell of a job....Slowly I got the hang of how to study and train well....I could appreciate I was gradually improving and I passed my final exams in flying colours....It was a great moment...
First days as a qualified doctor was proud and overwhelming....
Soon I, along with rest of my friends completed MBBS and we were out of college....
As with all new Doctors who have just completed, aspiring for Post graduation degree was the next goal.
Willing to work hard, until we reach our goal was inbuilt for most doctors....the trait that we all are proud about....
Work started,....I was preparing for my All India post graduate entrance examination.( modern day NEET entrance exam )…studies would start from 5am and with breaks for food and coffee it would go until late evening...
Exam day was the first sunday of year 2000....we would call it Plan Y2K... Nearly 1.2 lakh students
..probably India's brightest minds..appeared for the exam...not the easiest exam, it breaks your mind too....
Results came after a month....haaaa..i scored 329th rank..out of the whole lot of great boys and girls....it was indeed the most joyous moment....my perseverance and hard work paid off again......
Training in Bombay was my dream as I have heard of such a wonderful training there....
Choosing my post graduate degree MS General surgery in Topiwala National Medical College at Bombay was great.... Training went very well and was soon to pass out college with MS in 2004.
Entrance exams never stop coming in our lives and another set of exams. I scored 7th rank for my MCh selection and the choice was easy. MCh Urology at Grant Medical college. #years just fly past and I passed out.
I worked as Assistant Professor in Urology in the same institute for nearly a year and later for another 6 months at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai.
Moved to UK for nearly 3 years, Worked as Registrar in Urology to gain more experience before returning back to my Home town, Coimbatore in late 2011.
Now working as Consultant Urologist in a reputed Hospital in Coimbatore.
